Wherever possible to minimise product and development costs we always endeavour to base a system’s power supply solution on standardised industry COTS devices. To optimise this approach and reduce risk, we work very closely with our customers to ascertain a number of important characteristics specific to each application. These include for example; input power specifications, output power specifications including dynamic load aspects, EMC requirements, environmental parameters and operability/maintainability etc.
The flexibility of Elma-Mektron’s system enclosures can accommodate almost any version of MIL-Spec or commercial power supply in the range of 200- to 1800-watt and beyond, AC single- / three-phase 45 to 440Hz input or DC input. From ATX PC style through to Telecom and full MIL-Spec units, you can be assured of a cost effective and reliable solution. Provision can also be made for redundant N+1 or hot swap plug-in power supply solutions for quick MTTR. Options can include AC and DC power rail monitoring and alarm generation.
